Join Lehigh County Conservation District For
of Nature Classes
Kindly Hosted by Area Public Libraries!
During autumn 2017, Lehigh County Conservation District looks forward to providing conservation programming at local libraries!
The autumn theme for LCCD's “Buckets of Nature”
“Harvest, Migration and
Autumn’s Great Hibernation!"
September’s theme will focus
on Pennsylvania’s Fall Harvest and how the local Native American’s did this
first and in
October we will talk about
migration and the science behind how and why so many creatures move south for
the winter. Finally in November, just as things are getting really chilly, we will learn
about PA’s true hibernators (there are only a few of these) and those that
merely “nap away” the cold!
Buckets Full of Nature Classes bring the out-of-doors "in" during fun-filled classes designed to peak a child's curiosity for nature, science and exploration. Bring your budding conservationist to the library for one or all of these nature-themed learning experiences that combine reading, art, experimentation and hands-on activities designed to immerse your student in learning and fun!
