The mission of the Lehigh County Conservation District is to protect, conserve, and provide leadership for the sustainability of our natural resources.

LCCD Internship Program:

The Lehigh County Conservation District works to protect, conserve, and provide leadership for the sustainability of our natural resources. LCCD offers seasonal internships for college or recent graduates majoring in a field of study related to environmental sciences, agriculture, conservation, engineering, communications, and public relations. These paid experiences involve work within the District’s six main programming areas as required. The focal areas include: Water Quality, Watershed Conservation, Agricultural Conservation, Erosion & Sedimentation, Environmental Education, and the Dirt and Gravel Road program.

 

Internship Description:

The Lehigh County Conservation District intern will be responsible for a combination of field and office work to assist technical staff with farmer outreach, watershed assessments, surveys, design, mapping, and other miscellaneous duties. The intern will have the opportunity to shadow all departments but will ultimately report to the Agricultural Resource Conservationist and Watershed Specialist.
